What tires seemed to be working? Also, what gear ratios were you using for the various classes. I'm "in town" and planning to make the race but I'm not going to have any time to test so I was hoping you could give me a tip or two (or ten) for the My Series classes.
Thanks!

GT1 I would recommend JK med hub treated tire. Gear the car 13/36. Use the short .9mm middle with .025 pans.
GTP use the same chassis as GT1. If you're using big dog arm gear it 10/35 . S16D gear it 11/35. I'm using med hub Kelly Retros. If i was gonna use JK tire I would recommend med hub treated. O/S Bentley is fastest body.
Also make sure you set the front of the chassis clear at .050". It's a clearance rule only at Holly Hill because of the crossovers.

Danny,
That .050 clearance is checked on a flat tech block insn't it?
If you were to set your chassis clearance at .015 when the guide was in the .035 recess, then you would have the .050 needed for tech, right?
BTW, I've only raced at Holly Hill a couple of times and don't remember the braid depth. Is it .035?

The .050 clearance will be checked on a flat block.
The numbers add up on your .015 clearance with .035 recess. But I would check it on a flat block to be safe. Strange things happen in slot cars mathematics sometimes. Lols...

A car setup for Melbourne or Jacksonville will have the required 050 clearance in the front (at least that is my experience). I want to point out that the clearance rule includes the body and the chassis, not just the chassis.
Also, MySeries has bumper rules. For example, the 4" NASCAR bodies must have 1/8" bumpers front and rear. For LMP, the bumper rule is 1/16" front and 1/4" in the rear.

Danny, what I mean is that a car setup for Melbourne or Jax taking into account the .035" braid depth and 15 thou clearance will tech on a flat tech block at or above 50 thou which is required for Holly Hill.

Thanks guys, great info!
Unfortunately due to some unavoidable circumstances I'n NOT going to be able to make the Holly Hill My Series race. I was really looking forward to it but some things just came up and it's just not going to be possible. However I'm definitely going to the Jacksonville GRRR and My Series races coming up in May.

Jay, sorry that you could not make it. Two weeks from today we have the GRRR event at Jax. Then one week after that, its the MySeries event at Jax. I got to turn a lot of cars around for Jax.
