Another area attraction is Buzz-A-Rama (above, 69 Church Ave.; 718-853-1800), which opened in 1965 and offers the only slot-car racing in Brooklyn. The hobby, a popular fad in the 1960s, consists of racing a miniature powered car on guided grooves along a track.

That was not what I expected to find in this article. :)
