Now that the dust has settled and ISA has found its permanent home I'd like to get the proverbial ball rolling.
At this time we haven't worked out a "cast in stone" schedule but would like to at least start with a SWC warm-up race Sunday, June 28. That would be on the same weekend as SCRRA runs their Cam-Am and F1 program.
I had a brief conversation with BPR management (Debby) and she states that it fits into the shop schedule perfectly.
Doors open at 11 AM. Tech at noon with qualifying and racing shortly after.
What I would like from the regular BPR RetroPro racers is a show of hands who would be interested in this format. Not only for the warm-up race but for future races as well.
So, please chime in and let us know how many of you would like to race and get your RetroPro ready for the mid-year shindig!

I am looking forward to the "SWC RetroPro" warm-up Sunday, June 21, 2015.
The King track at BPR is fast and RetroPro cars are getting faster and lighter and faster. If you have not raced in awhile, come on down to see the latest chassis and motor blueprinting.
Over the years RetroPro races have seen alot of racers come and go.
With the new race schedule, lots of car inovations and a lot of very fast new racers, RetroPro is the class to race.
Young and old, new and fast come out and see what you have missed.
Look to see ya in June.

Damn, can't make that one. What's the chance of doing another one like July 12, or July 17-19?

I'm sure ISA stands for "International Scratchbuilders Association". What is it?

I've been wanting to start a group specifically for anglewinder slot cars for a couple years now. It, at the moment, is just a name but hoping it will grow over time.
What I'd really like is to put a page on Facebook or here so members can collaborate and share ideas. Nothing more than a name.
I'm typing this message from my phone, so if it's wacky I apologize in advance.

BTW the previous version of ISA where the first word was something else was entirely my fault. Just a brain cramp on my part, now corrected. My apologies to Craig.

Never forget that first place goes to the racer with the MOST laps, not the racer with the FASTEST lap

Is this about anglewinder Coupes with RHs, Falcon 7s and TSRs on the flat track, or something different? Maybe on the King?
RetroPro really ain't my thing, but the others would be. Just curious.
Thanks.

Great to see RetroPro promoted, Craig. It's a great class. John "Tore" Anderson's ideas really got it started around 2006 or 2007. It's an awesome fast class.
Come up with a good motor tech system.
Good luck!

Hello all,
There may be a change on the date for this race. Stay tuned, I will have a answer shortly.
News flash, the date has been changed to the 28th.
My apologies for the confusion, I thought the regular King race fell on the third weekend.
Additionally, there is another race scheduled for that day but it is on the flat track and shouldn't interfere with our program.
One more item of interest. And this is more for the out of town folks, we can run the race Saturday evening after the Cam-Am/F1 races are completed.

Cry like a baby, drive like a girl, walk like a man.
Give me enough rope and I'll build a fast car... or hang myself?

Reminder: A week from this Sunday the RetroPro cars will be zinging down the straightaway of the BPR King track.
So I can prepare tech sheets, can I get a show of hands that plan to make this race please...
