I'm just happy to get one with both pieces that fit. Since it's not going to be a show car just a neat Thingie Gene's set is perfect!

Hi Gene,

While the driver sits on the right side on the box artwork, on both the photo I supplied and the one from the kit at the LASCM, the driver is on the left side of the car, and the seat's pleats are inline with the direction of travel.

I have also seen a couple of complete cars (not for sale) with the same cockpit detail, while I have also seen several cars using interior details from other brands, because they were missing the part.

The interior you have used looks to me to be a remolding of a Russkit interior, possibly made by Dallas Booth in the early 1980s, but I will need to compare with the ones we have to be sure. Dallas made a lot of copies of bodies and interiors from the 1960s in the early 1980s to service a small market at a time when there was not much available because the internet was basically nonexistent for enthusiasts. I will keep you posted.

As far as making replicas for enthusiasts, it does not matter much of course.

I guess I will just keep it the way it is, better than nothing. Maybe one day an interior will show up.

Is the drivers head correct?

Gene, yes. it is. They are Eldon heads that the guys at Classic purchased literally next door, since Eldon was in Hawthorne and Classic in Culver City.

Well at least I got that part correct  :laugh2:

Now I will continue the quest for the left hand drive interior.

Once I find the left hand drive interior I can offer USA or British drive versions, right or left hand drive, can't beat that

Those limeys still have not figured it out!
I will try hunting a correct cockpit for you in all the museum's junk, but i am pretty sure that the only one we have is in that kit, possibly the only intact survivor left on the planet...

Yes I understand :prankster2:

If you happen to run across one, no matter the condition it would be greatly appreciated.
