When I talk to Nesta on the phone, Bob, and he insults ANYONE on Slotblog or calls this forum "Dead____". I remind him of my rules: No insults to anyone on the phone or in the forum!

This hobby is too small for such petty arguments.

I cannot help what he or Vitter or Redbackspyder post on their Facebook pages.

But here on this forum, I do not want us to reduce ourselves to insulting them under the cover of this section of the forum that we think is secure from their eyes.
Else, I would wish Cheater to remove my moderating privileges so I can't see it.

Mike, I believe Jarius has in mind a certain YouTube video posted here that has now been deleted.

 

I had a relative visting this weekend and we've been touring Civil War related sites for two days. I didn't listen to the full "Where's Nesta" video that's now been deleted by a moderator due to inappropriate language toward the end. Thanks to the mods and members for having my back.

 

Jairus, I don't think you've heard me badmouth Nesta very much, though I am guilty for picking on him for the Deadlog moniker. (if it were true, it'd probably sting a little; but it isn't...). In person, I like Nesta a lot.

 

And, Jairus, Board Tutorials & Info is an open forum, viewable by everyone, not just mods.

My general take on the subject is that if more positive content was available on OWH (I try to go there daily.).OWH members wouldn't take the time to p*ss and moan about what goes on here.

 

In the same tendency, I realize there are some people who have to complain, no matter how good they got things. I've worked with people like this, but those people I will just ignore.

For what is worth - I come her for the technical posts as well as the news.

 

I had thought "Deadblog" was a reference to the posts for people who have passed away. It's a sad phase of life - first the marriages, then the kids, then the kid's marriages, and now the funerals many times of people "we just haven't gotten to see again, but meant to".

I like Nesta's Barber Shop and Pit Space forum on OWH. He brings thoughtful insights into our little hobby. I don't visit there anymore due to the snippy negative responses from resident trolls and moderators alike. I'll miss Nesta.

Nesta is really friggin' harmless... no?  Why do you guys hang a 'kick me sign' on his back?

 

He's famous enough to have own 'where's Nesta' YouTube but doesn't have the 'clout' to tear down the hobby with a slot.

 

I don't see or read all the 'stuff' outside of Slotblog you guys are referencing. I read Nesta's 'stuff' on here, that's my point of reference.

Maybe I'll go over to OWH and see 'what's all the buzz'. Facebook, no... not moderated, could get ugly... sounds like it already is.

I don't know who in your mind is "hanging a kick me sign" on Nesta's back here on Slotblog. I would have edited any such things out. I deleted a (humorous) video in this thread that had profanity (a violation of Slotblog policy) but it wasn't derogatory towards Nesta in any way.

 

This is the end of talking about Nesta in this thread. If you want to continue with it, start a new thread in the proper forum and blog away.
