Pablo,

As a clarification, when I said 'you guys' pertaining to the kick me sign was not meant to address anyone in particular or on any given site.

Consider it 'slot guys' and they know who they are.

I didn't hang with all goodie two shoes growing up but if anyone in the crew talked crap about the handicapped or 'kicked' those who had no defense then penalties followed.

It ain't right when it gets past 'good fun'.... If I get sucked in and have kicked the defenseless I am sorry.

Like Jarius said it's a small group and getting smaller. I thought the same thing as Old and Gray (Bob S.) above when I first heard the word Deadblog.

Some "Banned Members" have waved the  "Freedom of Speech" flag when reigned in. Then why can't all of us read what is being said about this on Facebook and respond?

Not exactly sure what you're saying Mr. Sam but to the second sentence.....

I don't go there, then it can't be read.  Simple.

Did anyone bet I'd do a fitting pop-up-video for the Lucky-13?

In other words......Much whining :cray:  about being excluded from SB but the same whiner excludes all but "friends" from reading his FB posts.

Now I get it....

This is the level of seriousness looking at it from street level... streets... they are all over NY/NJ.  :laugh2:

Lem'me say it like dis... you'll understan ...  who *$#^ ever it is you can get ride of dat guy real cheap, cost you nuttn' to not read his posts.

Don't tell anybody...my shrink said to be be-friended'd can be hurtful a certain someones... ya know... ego, or what evhaa the *$#^.

It ain't worth the extra stress of FB...

"Friends"?

Sing along... haha

Is a word we use everyday
Most the time we use it in the wrong way
Now you can look the word up, again and again
But the dictionary doesn't know the meaning of friends
And if you ask me, you know, I couldn't be much help
Because a friend is somebody you judge for yourself
Some are okay, and they treat you real cool
But some mistake kindness for bein' a fool

We like to be with some, because they're funny
Others come around when they need some money
Some you grew up with, around the way
And you're still real close too this very day
Homeboys through the summer, winter, spring, and fall
And then there's some we wish we never knew at all
And this list goes on, again and again
But these are the people that we call friends

A success story is often viewed with envy by those less successful in a similar endeavor. Some even stoop to spreading falsehoods in an effort to discredit the object of their envy.

As for "freedom of speech"... it is not, never was, and never will be without limitation.

Should I remind you all that our benefactor bought an 85 year old car and drove it across country and is self-described as "mad"!

We should consider the source has brass balls... but not a lot of sense.

:laugh2:  Pete,

I think the handle "Brassy" alluded to lots of scratchbuilding in Greg's racing heyday, using, uh, lots of brass.  :D

I would disagree, J. We really didn't have that much trouble on the trip.

As I wrote, we had some challenges but nothing even remotely at the level of "trip ending".

I'd do it again in a New York minute... and in fact, my brother-in-law is beating me up for us to buy another old car and make a similar trip.

And your kind support and assistance was key, if you don't realize that. Had we not found that loose wheel bearing in your shop, I think I we would have abandoned the journey.

Still hate that I didn't get to meet your parents. The collectibles in their home made me feel we would have clicked in a big way.

Greg,

Tore Anderson's brother, Ivan, has two old Volvos for sale that have been sitting in front of my shop in Costa Mesa, CA, for some time now. Tell your brother-in-law you have a perfect opportunity to hit the road again!! :laugh2:  Think of it... if one car was so much fun imagine hauling TWO old cars cross country!

If you just want an old car, there's an old Lark on the acreage behind mine. The brothers who may own it are now in their 70s and 80s. It probably hasn't been run in 50 years and may have a few shotgun holes in it. I expect it'll sit where it is for another 50 years. :)

Actually, Slotblog follows the AP Stylebook guidelines, since I have to adhere to them when editing for other publications.

Here's the relevant section from the AP Style cheatsheet I use (since I am too cheap to subscribe to the full Stylebook):

In general, spell out numbers one through nine, and use figures for numbers 10 and higher. There are many exceptions that always take figures. Common exceptions include:

Addresses
Ages, but not for inanimate objects
Cents
Dollars. Do not include a period and two zeroes when referring to an even dollar figure.

Dates. Dates take cardinal numbers.
Dimensions
Highways
Millions, billions
Percentages. Percent is one word.
Speed
Temperatures
Times. Do not include a colon and two zeroes when referring to an even hour.

○ Spell out numbers used at the beginning of a sentence. Exception: Never spell out years.

I know you were just trying to be funny, Sam, but these are things I have to know and use. In your example, 14 is correct according to AP Style, since it isn't at the start of the sentence.
