A.J. is an honorary Ohioian. Those guys from "up north" will need to apply for a temporary visa. And Pappy, you EASILY meet the age requirement. :)

Just make it so any time a driver is at the drivers panel they have to have an Ohio State jersey on.  :good:

Bill, you're talking about the maize and blue jersey with the bit "M" for Ohio, right? Did I just lose my "honorary Ohioan" status, Mike?

I would definitely put Raisin in charge of painting and mounting the body (the one that must last the whole race!) so we'll just have to wait to see what that looks like, won't we?

Thom, as long as they can keep kicking my a$$ I'm sure they'll keep letting me run.  :laugh2:

They're coming to my house on July 18th and 19th for a six hour enduro on my track. Practice day is Saturday and the race starts Sunday morning.

Team Southern Discomfort will be in the house!

Jay Guard, Bobby Robinson, Greg Wells, and perhaps another Southern racer, in which case the Cheater will take the position of non-driving team manager in charge of braid changes.

The required six teams have registered and paid. The race is now official. If are considering entering don't wait too long as there are only two spots left for teams.

At least one very good racer, Thom Greene, is looking for teammates. Contact him here on the blog and take one of two remaining spots.

This is a "don't miss" kind of event.

Hey Mike:

In the initial post you indicated that IRRA® Can-Am rules would be used. Does that mean that we'll be using Can-Am bodies this year or will it be Can-Am with a Coupe body? No problem either way, just wanted to clarify.

However, if it was up to me, and I'm sure everyone's happy it's not, we'd make it REALLY interesting and use IRRA® Stock Cars with at least one hour of night driving using only the car's lights. Now THAT would be an enduro!!!

I think I need to make one of those posts you sometime see in the newspapers... "As of this date, even though he is my friend and traveling partner, I declaim all responsibility for the crazy ideas Jay Guard comes up with at times." LOL...

Guess you remembered how much love Mike McMasters has for Stock Cars, Jay...

We switch bodies every year between Coupe and Can-Am. This year is CA. Stock Cars would be interestingly... maybe too interesting.

Lets close the loop for the race. Put me down as the last team. I'm sure that I can find two more people that will race with me.

Thanks,
