It was that time of year for the 2nd Annual Rods and Rails Vintage Dragster Proxy to commence !!

 

All cars and brave drivers converged on Melbourne Florida for some fierce competition

 

 

Here we have the wide & diverse field of cars and drivers

First up is Stock Eliminator

 

Being the only entrant Don sailed through and won the class recording an E.T of 1.451 @ 28.08mph, moving on to face the winners from the other classes.

After each class crowned it's champion the winners raced off to find the fastest and the winner is......

After the dust had settled and the shut down glue had trapped it's last vintage pairing, there was a clear winner!

Well deserved 2nd place Don's hard charging Stock Eliminator Dodge E.T  1.428  @  28.47 mph

New for this years event are the Unlimited class machines, sporting padlock or open cage vintage motors with mild to totally wild modifications and the allowance of modern neo or cobalt rare earth magnets .

 

 

 

1st place  Bill Bilancio  highly modified & neo'd DC65 Rail  E.T  0.938  @ around 50 mph! (didn't record speed this run, but slower E.T run clocked at 48.42 mph!!!!!

 

 

 

 

2nd place  Bill Bilancio  Russkit Eliminator rail neo'd big block RAM or Pittman  E.T   1.002 (no speed this run , speed from slower run  @ 39.46 mph)
