Well, it was a pleasant day in Spokane. But for the third straight month, we had a lighter than average turnout of 7 people, for a variety of different reasons. For the third month in a row, Tom Hansen, Paul Dwyer, and Jack Cisner did not make it. Rumor is that Tom may make the next race, but it appears Paul is taking the summer off, and no one knows when Jack will be back.
But in addition to these perennial podium-placers, the Montana boys were unable to come (local graduation weekend). And at the last minute Mike Nelson decided to go to urgent care to see about a scary knee injury. He wound up missing the entire day.
So, much like the month before on Mike's track (while I was on vacation), the home track advantage is greatly accentuated. Last month, Mike swept 3 of the 4 races, then had car issues in the remaining class. I would do exactly the same on my track this month.
There were other exciting developments. Hillbilly would walk away with his first ever Spokane Northwest Retro first place in the coupe class.
Without further ado, here are the results.

Can Am -- We usually race this class first, but left it to the end in case either Mike Nelson or David Z showed up. Again, all but one of the drivers were within 2 laps of someone either above or below them. Close racing. When I post the pictures, take a look at John Wimett's beautiful winged Chaparral.
In another first, note Mike Moen's first podium finish of the year.
1. Ken Bryan 122, 5.12
2. Larry Vandegraft 120, 5.24
3. Mike Moen 118, 5.37

6. Aaron Lisenbury 111, 5.40
7. John Wimett 104, 5.75
Great racing! Pictures soon, as well as YTD standings. Racing on the second Saturday next month -- June 13. Mike will host the race.
