1/24 slot car racing outside of the US is almost exclusively practiced in club environments, as opposed to retail raceways. And there's a new club that has just come into being in Hartburn, a suburb of Stockton-on-Tees, in County Durham in England.

Spearheaded, designed, and built by well-known, accomplished racer Richy Kettleson and his friends, the new Teesside Slot Car club is off to a great start with publicity like this in the local paper, The Gazette.

 

You just have to love seeing the youngsters holding controllers in this piece! Be sure to check out the additional pics in the photo gallery.
