Hi there,

Just picked up one of these as a project and it's incomplete and in bits so...

Is the motor held in by a clip (ala Cox) or is it simply located and held in by the pressure of the screwed down body ?

And what are the correct screws for the body posts - are they metric maybe ?

Also, is the cast drop arm sprung ?

Many thanks and best to all,

S.

Hello

The motor is held in by a brass clip like Cox

Thread is 6 BA  ( British Association ) for the body mount screws ,8 BA for axles, easy to find on UK ebay

Drop arm is not sprung on any of my Scalextric 124

Hope this helps

Paul

Thanks Paul,

Guide was missing on my car so I ended up installing a bushing and a K&B flag, switched out the rather worn gears also - your info helped with the other stuff.

It's ridiculously overpowered and very tippy but a fun car to drive.

Looking around i found a Japanese blog with some beautiful renovation work on a couple of these cars

A ton of other great slot car builds there also.
