GT1 is one of our most competitive and long standing True Scale classes here at Electron Raceway. The class specifies a Scholer or Plafit chassis with custom brass side and front pans and powered by either a Falcon or Hawk 7 motor. Images of several cars in the class are shown in the Electron Raceway sub forum entitled Electron Raceway Classes (see the link http://slotblog.net/...aceway-classes/ then cursor down and select True Scale GT1)

Jack has been running his Nissan R390 for some time with a modicum of success (see the image below of a recent grid Jacks R390 is on the first row on the right). A few weeks ago, Ron unveiled his new Nissan R390. An image of this ride is shown below.

My shelf of unbuilt models included the very same car. The Tamiya model had been gathering dust for at least a couple of years. The R390 is quite wide front and rear and should be a very competitive ride in GT1. Rons recent build inspired me to get cracking. Below are a few images after paint. Ill post a recap of the build in the Electron Raceway sub forum entitled Electron Raceway Projects (see the link for other recent builds http://slotblog.net/...ceway-projects/
