I have been watching the thread about a Southern Racing series with interest and would like to see if there is any interest in bringing some racing up I 85 toward Spartanburg. I'm owner/operator at Upstate Speedway and want to develop some good series races. Mid south is coming in November and an IRRA event is scheduled for September. We have a good facility with a great Hillclimb and a fast Tri oval.
Our Facebook page and YouTube channel has video and pictures of our tracks. I can give you a pretty solid promise of local participation. The races here enjoy racing folks from out of town. They love to learn and see innovative approaches.
If you would be willing to race at Upstate, Ralph asked me to get you to respond so we can see whether there is interest. 40cffc57c38da8e8b9f3772c6508c32b.jpg9a2f8eb105f577470681ceca785e9a31.jpg6ba89fbe8ef58fa11680ec16dfb26ee9.jpg

I'll be there for the IRRA race and if my schedule allows some of the other races too.

I'd welcome a reason to pay your track another visit. Enjoyed it immensely last Saturday! Count me in.

Jay,

It'd be good to see you back in SC again. Maybe you can convince that Cheater guy in Atlanta to ride with you?

I think that's basically the best if not the only way to build a good series. Those that know they plan to come have to invite the fence sitters and maybe even recruit and sponsor a new racer.
People get involved in things that their friends take them to
Want a good Retro race? Gonna have to make a brand new racer it seems.
