I need a little education, guys.

I often see ads and references involving Scalextric slot cars that include a alphanumeric code, like C6, C71, etc., and I don't know what these mean or refer to.

Can someone provide that information for a dumb ole hillbilly like me?

Never forget that first place goes to the racer with the MOST laps, not the racer with the FASTEST lap

Basically just the number given by Scalextric when the item was included in their catalog. Somewhat analogous to the Köchel-Verzeichnis number used to catalog the works of Mozart.  ^_^

I agree. Just catalog numbers.

I had Lister jags and some other of the 'loop braid' cars that I added to my original tinplate set. The tinplates are not in the list and might be the 'A" groups not listed. I need at least two wheels and the driver to restore my 'green' Ferrari 375.

Here's a bit of code breaking, B = bikes (sidecar rigs) B1 typhoon B2 hurricane, C = cars , E = electric lights  so C68 is Aston Martin coupe, but E3 is the same Aston Martin with lights. YS is you steer
