Bryan has asked me to see if Electric Dreams could run their original Kirby Ti22 mold as it appears that there are not too many Ti bodies around. I asked the fellows at the company and they did just that, and the bodies are being pulled right now in real 10-thou, with both sides the same thickness... They will come with a clear Lexan driver.

BPR should have some in just a few days.

Electric Dreams also has plenty of Mercury Cyclone bodies for the stock-car enduro.

Great news. Just a few days ago, I was looking at one that BPR had in .030 and the mold was exceptional. It had detail at least as sharp as any that I have seen and much better than most. Very nice indeed.

Jim,

The batch made yesterday was of ten-thou Lexan of course. The former batches made of 30 thou were for people building scale cars for club use.

Philippe,

Thanks a lot for all your concern and help!!  :victory:  BPR will probably need more on a regular basis.

Is this the Ti22 short or long?

Michael,

Everyone is looking for the Ti22 long. Now that Electric Dreams will provide some bodies we should be OK!

Electric Dreams will make more of the bodies on a regular basis now. Because of the construction mayhem at the LASCM where the vacuum machine and the molds are located, they were unable to pull bodies until now but this is now being resolved as the giant hole in the ground under the museum building is now nearly dug out. This will ease things especially as the extra room is usable, another 3000 sq ft on two levels that include the actual slot car museum room where over 80 glass cases will be installed.

Regardless, they will make as many Ti22 bodies as needed.

The body being made is the LONG Ti22 over the original Kirby/Associated mold built by Lloyd Asbury.

That's really good to hear that it'll be a continual production plan. Many of the NorCal guys will want to buy off the ED website rather than wait for months for the others.

Now...............If ya'll had a nice Lotus 49B mold that would fit the current fat chassis......................

Just sayin'............ :)

Well, they made about 100 bodies that were immediately sold, and they ran out of Lexan already, but new rolls have already been ordered and production will resume next week.

As far as the Lotus, best would be to get an untrimmed body to Bryan Warmack who could pour a mold in the proper epoxy resin, and Electric Dreams can make them for you gentlemen.

Scott really wants to help out and he is obviously not getting any wealthy doing this...
It's more for his love of the hobby.
