Don't forget the big summer SCRRA event will be next week and will be a three-day affair.  Friday, Saturday, and Sunday the 24-26th. Friday will be anglewinder Coupe and F1 on the Flat track followed by RetroPro on the King track. Saturday will be Can-Am on the King, with Sunday being F1 on the King.

As with all the major SCRRA races, the cars must be brought to the tech table with the bodies off for a quick motor inspection and to weigh the bodies. Minimum body weight is 5.5 grams and the tech table will provide .010" polypropylene tape for any body found to be too light. Also, make sure that the interiors are legal and that the drivers head is no lower than the surrounding bodywork... and all interiors must remain legal at all times during the races.

No cuts shafts will be allowed on the Hawk Retros and the rules governing working on the cars during racing conditions will be strictly enforced. The SCRRA is pretty tolerant in this matter during the monthly races and allows racers a reasonable latitude in sorting out very minor issues such as loose gears, loose tires, controllers, etc, If it can be fixed quickly with the power off. However, at all the major races, like the upcoming SWC, no working on the cars or repairing the cars whatsoever will be allowed other than a quick straightening of the braid or brushing off the tires by a turn marshall... Power is coming on now!!

Should be a fun weekend! No lunch is planned as Imperial Burger is just so convenient. See you there! :good:

2 super close races on the Flat track today to open Friday's events at the Summer Western Classic. Both decided by about a lap. In Anglewinder Coupes Rick Linn just edged Bryan Warmack in 2nd who narrowly edged Mill Conroy in 3rd. Great run to 4th place by original Team Checkpoint racer and 1969 Western States winner Charlie Nelson!

In F1 Gary Donahoe prevailed with a flawless drive to best Bryan Warmack again in 2nd with Jerry Johnson running an excellent 3rd.

Retro Pro results up shortly and Can Am tomorrow!!

Had some fun in A/W Coupe's yesterday, but man, we had some FAST racers in Coupes. And Mill with that Falcon 7! Pretty good showing, what with all the RH's running.
