July's D3 Hardbody races at Buena Park Raceway had a good turn out with some new racers and a lot of close, fun racing.

With the annual D3 Hardbody Nats just a few months away (Oct. 17,18), its time to prepare cars for six different racing classes for the Nats.

Sunday's races started with a "mixed" race with any D3 hardbody racing class. A field of 16, so we went with two 8 car mains.

The first main consisted solely of 3 C's (corvette, cobra, cheetah, viper) cars. The second main had a mixed field of Jalopies (3), GTPs (2), '57-'79 NASCARs (2) and a Trans Am Corvair.

The next race was for any D3 NASCAR racing class ('46-'56, '57-'79, 80's-present). And the final race was for GTPs.

Thanks to Jim and Debby Watterson for their support of D3 hardbody racing at BPR.

Thanks to our race directors, Victor Dubrowsky and Tim Neja.
