Why would you drive into a six-car wreck?? Defensive diving will not only save your car but won't penalize everyone who didn't de-slot with an unneeded track call. Track calls are sometimes a necessary evil but not every time there is a crash. Most love track calls when their slammed against the wall but complain when their opponent gets one when he is out of the slot.

BTW... putting your controller across all the lanes is a very classy move. Very sportsmanlike.

Sometime a wreck might happen with a lot of close driving. When you have a marshal fiddling with many cars they might put it back on the wrong lane or their hand might knock out a running car. We try to limit the damage to all the cars both on the track and out. A less than 10 second track call, if even that long, is often worth the pause.

Never had to do the controller thing as we tend to race and have fun. Been to a few places where the rules that were attempted made me threaten to use my controller. I mean if it isn't in the rules it must be legal, no?  ;-)

If you want or need to win that badly, take up drag racing... No track calls there, and you can beat someone.

LOL. I have given the contact information out of the folks who make our trophies for our club. If someone wants a plaque/trophy that bad they can order one with whatever they want on it.

Remember, people are not lined up outside the door of most slot car tracks to race. We need to keep an attitude that encourages people to participate.
