Hi all,

For my second post in the blog, I'm again going to ask the help of the vintage experts.

Recently I've found this slot car that I think is a Dynamic Renegade. Could anybody help me to understand what is original, and what not?

Unfortunatelly both axles are a little bit bent. Does anybody have idea where to find those components?

Every part on this car is original.

5-40 threaded axles. Check PCH Express, eBay, etc. Be sure to get correct lengths for front and rear (they're usually different).

Thanks for the information.

The strange things in the rear axle is that the threading is asymmetrical, and then, in both axles, there is a sort of step between the threaded and unthreaded parts. While, having a look to the standard threaded axles, I don't see the "step".

Is this something I have to take into consideration?

They are both 3" length. PCH has 2 1/2 and 2 3/4, no 3"
Professor Motor is out of all threadeds, except the freewheeling ones.
I looked on Electric Dreams and didn't find them.

The dimensions are :
Top axle, left to right,  .26/2.5/.26 = 3”
Bottom, .68/1.98/.35 = 3”

Hi Michele,

That little "step" can be seen on a lot of period axles, but not sure it's really any use.

I have a bunch of parts and can send you a couple threaded axles (from France) - let me look at my Renegade chassis and I'll see what they look like...

If interested, just send me your address in a PM...

Ciao,

Don

Does anybody has an original Renegade to check if my rear axle is original or not?
