I want to give a big thanks to Eugene, Preston, and the whole Heart of Dixie Raceway crew for allowing us to come race for the day. The weather was great, the Paperclip was challenging, and the oval was a blast. It's a nice mix of tracks.

Thank you to all the racers who showed up to support the series at our second race. We had 68 total entries in three classes. Over 25 different drivers showed up from four different states to make this a fantastic day of racing!

A huge thank you to Shirley Harrington for race directing and helping keep the show moving all day long! She did an amazing job and we hope she can join us at more races in the future!

Once again we had many race prizes donated, this time from D&J Racing, GetSome 1000, and Angry Turtle Slot Car Products.

First up on the days agenda was IRRA® Can-Am on the Hasse Paperclip. We had 22 drivers line up to qualify with Donnie Zorro taking the pole and winning in a very close race. After jumping out to a lead he broke a leadwire mid-race and had to repair it. He lost the lead but was able to make up the laps and hold on for the win. Experienced locals Bobby Robinson and Jay Guard were second and tirrd.

Agree, Pablo. Great information, and looks like a great turn-out. Seems Jay and DZ had a great day.

Big thanks to Ralph Thorne, Eugene, and the rest of the Heart of Dixie Raceway crew for making the OSS #2 race such a big success.

Extra special thanks to Shirley Harrington for doing such a great job of race directing and keeping the program moving, not to mention running the parts store.

Had a great time racing and I'm looking forward to the next few OSS races.

Ms Shirley is THE BEST race director, glad to see her as an Outlaw...always the same, always consistent, no favoritism.  Race Umpire!

Clear...Ready...Race!  (her southern accent and firm tone makes you feel like you hear your favorite song)

When I heard her PA announcement the first time a marshall snuck away, I knew she was the best!  "Steve Harrington, you are supposed to be marshalling!"...she got me too as I rushed back from candy shopping, hahahaha.  I tried to bribe her with Reeses, Snickers, and Starburst..."I can't have those, I'm diabetic"...rats!
