The 5th D3 Hardbody Nats race report has been posted at our Phanfare website: http://socald3.phanfare.com/7049850
This year's D3 Hardbody Nats at Buena Park Raceway had plenty of close racing and a lot of fun as usual. We did have several regular racers unable to participate this year but still had a good turnout regardless. Besides the fun, we did see two new hardbody total lap records set, one by Gonzo (Hector Gonzalez) in the 3 C's race with 254 laps vs. the old record of 247 and Ryan Miller in the '57-'79 NASCAR race with 232 laps vs. old record of 231. Also, Gonzo nearly became the first to run a lap under 5 seconds but we'll have to wait until another day before the 5 second barrier is broken at BPR.
Thanks to Debby and Jim Watterson with help from Eddie in support of D3 hardbody racing at BPR.
Thanks to our race directors, Victor Dubrowsky and Ken Dylke.
A special thanks to Jeff Bell and Craig Gilbert for their prize donations (Hasegawa and Tamiya model kits).
Our next D3 hardbody races on Sunday, November 15th. Track opens at 10 am, mixed race starts at noon.
Still room for one more enduro team for the upcoming 2nd Chance GTP Hardbody Enduro at BPR on Sunday, November 29th.
