I've been really lucky of late buying hard to find cars at reasonable prices. The latest acquistion is this fairly nice condition Strombecker Mercedes GP. The wheels will need to be changed but the body is clean and the chassis looks almost new!

I was able to source the wire wheels on eBay very cheaply and will change them out once they arrive.

Paul,

Nice find. I don't think these cars get much attention for some reason but they are nice.

I have one I've been working on. I replaced a body post and removed those gigantic mold lines from the side.

Had it painted silver really nice and was clearing it when it fell off the stand :dash2: Of course it fell "peanut butter side" down and messed up a great paint job. I stripped it and it's been sitting ever since on my re-do paint pile.

I probably have extras on the correct wheels if you need them.

Gets bigger all the time. :bomb:

Thanks for the reply Joe.  If you have the original front wheels, I'll take a pair of your hands.

Let me know.

Thanks,

Paul
