James Wendel of Roseburg was charged with murdering the competition in both the Trans-Am and Sports Car races held at STR on Monday, November 10, 2015. The weapon of choice was a custom brass and wire chassis built by the perpetrator.

To read more about the event and see additional images, I have posted the results of the OSCAR Sports Car and Trans-Am race held at STR. See the LINK.

Some featured rides are shown below.

Interesting lead in to a race report.

I am not a doctor, but I played one as a child with the girl next door.

Interesting lead in to a race report.

Eureka! The headline served its purpose. My main goal is to create interesting and insightful commentary that stimulates and inspires others both in our club and elsewhere. I hope that one or more of my posts has provoked enough curiosity to encourage you and others take a deep dive into the Electron Raceway forum and sub forums and perhaps to encourage others to give hard body racing a try. If not, I hope that others are amused and enjoy the images

That headline was great!  Interesting way to start a story...

Thanks Scott. In my career as an engineer and acquisition specialist my writing was limited to technical topics. Since I retired about 12 years ago, writing has become more of a hobby - far from my favorite hobby of model car racing. I summarize the race reports at STR and my track Electron Raceway. STR and Electron are both located in the small town of Roseburg, Oregon and we have a small following for our hobby. STR runs mostly OSCAR classes which are small wheeled scratch built rides. At Electron Raceway, we are dedicated to running scale wheeled hard body cars with Scholer or Plafit chassis. Check out our sub forums and take a look at our classes at Electron - there are some pretty interesting rides. See the link http://slotblog.net/...aceway-classes/ BTW the most complete sub forum is Sports Cars where I have recently updated the post to include all or nearly all of our racers rides. Others will be updated in the near future

Headline got my attention, a play on words does it every time!!  Good job, to the editor and Wendel!
