Now it was Saturday and i was back over to the King track for some open wheel action. We had 45 entrants looking to go for the gold in this one.
Concours was won by Doug Griffith with John Gorski 2nd (L) with his Noose painted F1 and Gary Clinton Sr. 3rd with his Gesner painted Matra.
Qualifying got going and James "Ayrton" Grandi brought down the house with his new track record of 3.983 to get TQ!
I was just too popped to get all podium pics but the results of course are all below.
In the G Main, Chad Brown and Gil Rivera would move-up with Bill Sutton 3rd. (I did not have the G Main results sheets to complete all the details)
In the F Main it would be Ed Chaya winning and moving up with Chad Brown with Sam Levitch in 3rd.
In the E Main it would be Steve Levitsky taking the win and Gary Clinton Sr. moving up with Ed Chaya in 3rd.
In the D main it was Mike Iles for the win and Steve Levitsky 2nd and moving up. Will Brinkley would get 3rd.
In the C Main it was Adam Chaya gettng the win and Wes Pikunis joining him on the move-up. In 3rd was John Gorski.
The B Main saw Wes flying for the win this time with Adam Chaya taking 2nd and joining Wes on the move-up train. Duran Trujillo would take 3rd.
Now the main event. Wes was on a roll with Grandi, Matt, Gehrken and Edsel hot on his tail but he had too much for them this day. A tremendous win coming from the C Main with a loaner from Matt!
