I will however will be doing a tour of the Mullin Automotive Museum in Oxnard on the 12th. The museum is only open for short hours on Saturdays and this is the last opening of the year. It would be great if any of the Slotblog members could join me. I will be there promptly at 10:00 until closing at 1:00. From there I was planning on having lunch and then onto LAX for my flight back to Northern California.

I'm jealous and wish very much to be able to join you that day. It's a little far from Atlanta, unfortunately.

Next time, Greg, can't think of a finer person to visit the museum with.

The next museum on my radar is the Gilmore Museum complex in Hickory Corners, MI.
Besides the Gilmore Car Museum itself, the 90-acre campus also houses a number of other museums and exhibits: the Classic Car Club of America Museum, the Pierce-Arrow Museum, The H.H. Franklin Club Museum, the Model A Ford Museum, the Cadillac-LaSalle Club Museum, and the Lincoln Motor Car Heritage Museum.
Just like with The Henry Ford museum, I figure a visit of four or five days should be sufficient... LOL!

The Mullin Museum focuses on the French pre-war Art Deco period, '20s-30s.

Yep, Peter Mullin is big into Bugatti, as well as other French cars.

Beautiful Bug Collection!
You can get up close and personal with them.

Nice photos, Dennis. Hadn't even heard of this museum, but lots of changes in the 33 years since I left the States...
What's the car in post 16?

Don,
1911 Hispano-Suiza Type 45CR, known as the King Alfonzo.
The Mullin Museum only opened in 2010, in (I believe) the same building that formerly housed the Otis Chandler collection. Chandler, who died in 2006, was the publisher of the LA Times from 1960-80 and a huge car collector in his own right.
