The 2nd Chance D3 Hardbody GTP 4 Hr. Enduro at BPR was another fun race with even more excitement/drama than the first Enduro in June. 7 Teams raced for the podium plaques with one team winning all of the wood plaques.

We had some new racers join in the fun. We welcome Jim Wiseman and Rick Linn to D3 Hardbody Racing and hope they race with us again soon.

Concours saw the Autobahn Racers team car win as the rest of the field was mostly worn out cars from the initial GTP Enduro in June. Victor Dubrowsky's nicely painted Porsche 962 won honors with a Bruce Frye interior. Congrats to both for their Concours winner.

The Enduro was filled with moments of excitement, fun, laughter, disappointment, frustration, but in the end, a fun day for all.

The Autobahn Racers (Victor Dubrowsky, Tom Schiavo, Tim Neja) had a field day as they won the regular and handicap podiums as well as Concours. Nice racing guys, next time give the other teams a chance (just kidding since the other teams are already planning to win the WRC Enduro in May 2016). There were some very fast, great handling cars in this enduro. Hector Gonzalez' new flat pan chassis car with several new features/tricks was very fast and handled great. Jim Lange's Hi Tech Racing car was also very fast and another great handling car. The winning car/team was quick and stayed out of trouble with no major problems.

Thanks to Debby and Jim Watterson (and Eddie) for their support of D3 Hardbody Racing at Buena Park Raceway.

Thanks to our race directors, Victor Dubrowsky, Hector Gonzalez and Keith Tanaka.

A very special thanks to Mike Steube for donating raffle prizes to this enduro. Mike also donated prizes for next year's WRC Enduro and our Nats next year.
Mike stopped by to see some of the Enduro. It was great to see him and chat awhile. We hope he visits again soon or better yet, join in the fun whenever he can.

Totally FUN time! Thanks to everyone who helped out and participated. We tried to make it on one motor, which wasn't the wisest strategy: As the motor tired out we had less and less brakes, which made it hard to drive. The motor finally gave out in the final heat, with six minutes to go. And then there was the issue of the front tires coming off the wheels. More than a few times. On both sides! Even after gluing them! Still, it really was a fun race. The podium guys all deserved it. Congrats!

Sounds like it was a very fun and challenging event. Would have been nice to race but Thanksgiving is one of the few times my family gets together. Sorry I missed seeing Mike Steube he's a great racer and builder, and he gave me some good tips to improve my soldering a few years ago. I hope he does come and race with us.

Congrats to the podium teams and all of the other teams.

As Keith mentioned, Thank You everyone involved, this was a very fun event!   Special thanks to The Legendary Mike Steube, who hasn't raced in few years, yet donated a large number of win tickets, and race prizes.         Thank you Mike! I hope you come and race with us soon.

Great report, great photos and some very innovative chassis designs.

I've gotta think that in an alternate universe that this is the way Eurosport would have evolved.

BTW, does the #3 car use "air" to remove the bolts that retain the body?
