Greg,

I am currently trying to report out on our last My Series race at Holly Hill. However, I am running into size limitation that does not make sense to me. While I have been able to upload scan sizes of 580 KB and 605 KB, I can not upload a file the size of 557 KB. What's up? Please help.

I can only guess it is a file format issue.

Can you email the file to me at greg@slotblog.net so I can test with it?

Ok, I think I see what the problem is.

The thread you're having trouble with is THIS ONE, post #7, correct?

The problem is you're posting uncompressed images that are roughly 500kb each and there is a per-post attachment total size limit of 3MB. And what you have posted now is just under the 3 MB limit.

Without knowing your computer or camera set-up, I can't advise you exactly how to compress your pics. Some cameras will allow you to select JPG output with a chosen level of compression.

Give me a few moments and I'll compress your pics for you and you'll be able to add more to that post.

OK, Doc, check your post. I applied 70% JPG compression to the images (and cropped your print-outs as well) and re-uploaded them.

This reduced the file size of the attachments to 595.38kb, where previously the files were 2,948.64kb. The new 595kb total is less than just one of your original uncompressed pics...

Greg,

Thank you for your help.

With the download link that you provided me, I was able to compress the rest of the pics and the scans and completed the full race report. It's all within 3MB.
