This series has the potential to be a very good read, as seemingly no one knows as much about the history of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as Donald Davidson.
The idea seems to be that Davidson will do a blog entry a day for the 100 days remaining until the 100th annual Indy 500.
Here's the first blog entry, posted today.
WHY THE INDY 500 ISN’T THE INDY 341 OR THE 24 HOURS OF INDY

Thanks for the tip, Greg.
Indianapolis was never big with me and it's gotten less so as time has passed. Oval racing isn't to my taste and I found the over-the-top, carnival sideshow-style promotion pretty stupid. But Donald Davidson's dedication to the history of the place is certainly worth reading or listening to.

Well, Pete, I didn't read the set-up entry and today learned that these daily blog entries won't be coming exclusively from Davidson. Sorry for the misinformation.
