We are two races into the 2016 racing season so I thought that it was time to publish the driver points.  For this year, the MySeries directors have divided the racing season into 3 parts; the first 4 months (Spring), the middle 4 months (Summer), and the last 4 months (Fall) of the year.  Please refer to this years guidelines in order to see this new structure. The various car classes are being raced per the following chart:

JK Indy Car Spring and Fall

4" NASCAR Spring and Summer

JK LMP Spring and Summer

GTP Spring only

Endurance cars Fall only

 

First up are the driver points for the 4" NASCAR class broken out between Group 1 and Group 2 drivers. Each group will crown a champion after the last race is completed for each car class.

I am not sure of some of the raceway associations that the drivers want to be under this year, mainly due to the closing of the Jacksonville track and the opening of Ed's track in Pinellas Park. The driver championship points after three events are shown below. Since the GTP season is only 4 races long this year, I dropped the worse result of the three. Therefore, current standings in GTP include the best two results. The guidelines state that we are dropping one result from the final total. The other car classes (4" NASCAR, LMP, and JK Indy Cars) that are being contested now are 8 races long.
