A question was raised about the availability of the TSR and Falcon 7 motors used in various racing series, and the answer is yes, anyone can get any desired quantities at anytime by inquiring with their retailers or distributors. They are constantly in stock at ERI Distributing, Crawley Distributing, and others.

They are also currently available through various retailers such as Electric Dreams or directly from the TSR website.

PdL... you forgot to mention that all the faster ones are shipped to e-slotcar.com. We're going to have a fresh batch of TD301s in next week. The Falcon 7s are in stock.

We sell to anyone.... even you!

Never forget that first place goes to the racer with the MOST laps, not the racer with the FASTEST lap

I forgot to mention PCH, but yes, anyone can get the motors from PCH.

Philippe,

Are these the clockwise or anti-clockwise running motors, or both?

Here in NZ we opted for the PS4002FK motors last year, due to the unavailability of the F7 - a step regretted by many because of the apparent ease of cheating/tuning of the replacement "sealed" motor.  :(

The Falcon 7 turns clockwise. The TD301 runs counterclockwise. In Australia it runs counterclockwise, yesterday.

What are the TSRF - TRS-3215 motors? What direction do those run in? Memory tells me the original ones from years ago were Falcon 1's, but I don't know what the current motors are.

Bill, the TSRF 3215 are motors for home-racing 1/32 scale cars, with the same power as of the original Falcon 2. They do not have a timed commutator meaning that they can turn in either direction. We used them in early D3 1/24 scale racing in SoCal before the TSRD3 was produced, as they were very competitive with the only alternates at the time, the Slick 7 motor.

You can see the different motors available from that company HERE. The Falcon 7 is legal for most Retro racing series worldwide.
