I've recently had the son of a northwest Indiana (Chicago area) racer come in to get re-involved in slot racing.

Alex Block, brought in some of his deceased dad's stuff.

Pictured is the Ferrari 330P4, that Dale Block would have entered in the 1988 IMCA Worlds, at Grand Raceway.

Looks like a "Eurotoy" chassis.

Nice handling chassis for such a simple design.

Yes, a Eurotoy.

The tiny tires really hurt the look of this car, especially the 1/2" fronts.

Yeah, at the expense of performance (I guess), I would do this to my Eurotoy chassis:

I agree on the wheels!  I remember fondly either my dad telling me stories about racing in Chicagoland or "sneaking" into the basement and looking through his slot car box.  I'll have to dig around in some of his stuff to see if there are any other vintage goodies laying about!

Here are a few pictures of a King Cobra he built as well, as well as a picture of my dad at the '88 worlds holding his Ferrari.

Great body choice.  I think that those red tires were the "only" tires to use at the time.

I do not think that's Graham Hill he never drove the original "King Cobra" actually Jerry Titus T-10 Cougar. Graham Hills helmet was the colours of the London Rowing Club with 9 oars on it in white on a dark blue background
