Special car you put the roller on and drag around the track to clean it?

These lint rollers are used to clean tires in certain classes, typically where glue is not used on the track.

I'm guessing this would be illegal for use during an IRRA® event?

This is the only tire "cleaning" allowed in our Farrout 1/32 Slot.it, SCX, Fly, Ninco, Racer Sideways club races. However, I've noticed that some of the more "winning eager" racers search for the stickiest rollers they can find. It's always something...

Single ones are sold at the $.99 store. And the price is....

Yeah, I got the $1 store tip.
I went digging through the bin thinking I would find a full one.
The one on the left has about two sheets used. I wouldn't call them "single" ones.
I would call them "a third".
I'll take the $1.60 one on the right.

The .99 ones don't work as well. Also 3M is one of the better ones. I buy them at Costco because we go through a lot at the store.

These are also nice to clean up the paint flecks, stray rubber chunks, body pins, guide flag and gear pieces - and other stuff that gets on the tires when you de-slot into the gutter areas.
