This just proves that Oregon has more talent in slot car building than the rest of the Union! Period!
Those Pelican Park Speedway guys build and run great.
I intend to live forever! So far, so good.

Thank you! Are! If its the thingie body your asking about i don't recall what its called but think Pablo is referring to it as a 13UO? I think its made by True Scale.

13uo is the little motor, not the body.

The 13UO Pablo referred to is the slim Mabuchi can motor, rather than the body.

Reminds me that I haven't done one of the "Little 'Buchis" for a while. We did some cool cars and with them as goofy kidz.

Used to wind my own arms for them way back when. 75 of 30 was the flavour of the week if I recall correctly.

That sounds about right to me Dennis. Even such a mild wind would be a major upgrade for the stock motor. Then the problem would be (of course)...trying to see if it would stay together. The stock magnets are crazy-weak. The end bell really was (*along with seeming weird back then) kind of a precursor to the later Mura arrangement using hoods (*upper and lowers!). Mabuchi had no idea of how "close" they came.
My memory was (*for some strange reason) having a preference for the red ones...I guess Monogram. Other Mabuchis, I was a K&B guy.

We always used the red ones. One of our guys built an aluminum endbell for one that was slick. Adjustable timing and the whole shebang. I wish I still had that around.

Whoah...talk about spending $200 for a can of domestic beer! I'd love to see that thing! I have a JK aluminum end bell here, but installing it on a Mabuchi just seems so wrong!
PS...the red ones were the best!
