Mac, a regular racer in the Middle Tennessee area, was discovered by family members in his home near Lebanon, TN, yesterday, apparently the victim of homicide. Mac raced just last weekend at SlotCars-R-Us at a wing car event. As of this evening's news, no details of the Wilson Co. Sheriff's department investigation had been made public.

Mac rarely missed a Retro race over the past five years and will be missed by all of his slot car buddies. He was 64 years old.

Can't remember the last time a slot car racer was involved in a homicide. What a shock and tragedy for the family and those that that knew and raced with Paul. Just horrible!

Praying for the family and praying they remove the killer from society before they harm anyone else.

RIP, Mac.

Looks like the authorities don't have a lot of evidence.

Mac was our "gentle giant" at SlotCars-R-Us. After his turn at the driver's panel, you'd find him sitting in his chair marshaling the lead-on. He was a quiet man, and was as friendly a person/racer you'd ever was to compete with. Just last weekend we were talking about me painting up a few wing car bodies for the next race...

I'm saddened at his passing, and pray that whoever took him from us is found and dealt with.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and family and to all of us who called him our friend...
