Getting a little serious. Poke some holes about an inch apart on a yardstick. Those little holes on terminal tabs hold the common wires together. :sun_bespectacled:

Not all yardsticks are made of wood these days; some of mine are a composite material more like a flexible plastic. The advantage I see of using a yardstick over the "block of wood" is that it's already marked where to drill your 1" spaced holes. It save one from having to drag out a measuring tape, too. :good:
