April's D3 Hardbody races had 36 racer entries (4 mains). An excellent turnout of hardbody racers resulted in a lot of fun racing.
We welcome Pepper to D3 hardbody racing. Pepper drove in two NASCAR races to establish his racer handicap for the WRC Enduro next month.
Some cars were raced for the first time this month. Dave Cantwell's Mitsubishi Eclipse and Jay Henry's 911 Sports Racing car (driven by Eddie Shorer) ran for the first time.
The upcoming WRC Enduro next month is around the corner and all 8 WRC Enduro teams are still preparing their enduro cars.
A brief meeting was called by Keith Tanaka to go over the WRC Enduro rules (copies of the rules passed out to racers).
Also, Keith announced a new D3 Hardbody racing class will become official soon. This new racing class will be called "Mid-Engine".
This racing class will be for "any mid-engine" car (i.e., Lemans prototypes, Foreign exotic high performance, Can AM, American LMP, etc.).
The rules for this class will be posted soon.
Thanks to Debby and Jim Watterson (and Eddie) for their support of D3 Hardbody racing at Buena Park Raceway.
Thanks to our race directors, Victor Dubrowsky and Keith Tanaka.
