Bill wanted me to get the word out that we will be running the 4" NASCARs on the short oval, followed by JK LMP on the Hillclimb. Then the GRRR guys will take over, running Can-Am followed by F1. Both GRRR races are on the Hillclimb.

I was going over your guidelines and rules for each class......NASCAR chassis's....."stamp steel" that's about as vague as anything. What exactly can you build for a chassis? Open motor box chassis or not? Champion, Mossetti or JK? If you have some pics of legal chassis' that would help too. Thanks!

Gary, we are mainly running the JK C11 (0.025 gauge) or the X25 center section with C11 .025" side pans. Some guys might be running other stuff, but the C11 and the X25 dominate. The Mossetti chassis have just come out. I bought one two piece chassis and one three piece. The motor is JK Retro Hawk which you are very familiar with. I will post a couple pics a bit later. You can run both car classes with the same chassis/motor setup if you have a JK chassis, because only JK chassis are allowed in the JK LMP car class.

The chassis on the left is the JK X25 (JK PN JKX25) with side pans and the other is the C11 (JK PN JK250112C).

 

I hope this helps. I think that your best bet is to go to the Marcos's track in Winter Garden on Tuesday or Thursday evening. He's got what you need on the wall.

A word of caution: My Series has very specific bumper size rules. 4" NASCAR is minimum 1/8" bumper front & rear. For LMP, its 1/16" front and 1/4" rear. the bumper rule will be enforced.

If you retro only guys come in around 9:30am, you will get plenty of practice on the hillclimb while us flexi guys are running on the oval tearing everything up. Then you get at least an hours rest while the flexi guys are showing you how fast the hillclimb really is. Then its time for us senior citizens to have our senior moments. LOL
