6 Hour Petit LeMans Enduro 6th Annual Promo.jpg

That time is once again approaching for the Retro EastTM 6 Hour Petite Le Mans Enduro that will be held at Speed Zone on Saturday, July 9, 2016 on the Engleman.

Tony P will once again be building the cars and I will be painting the bodies donated by Parma this year. Motors will be the JK Hawk Retros and HVR BB fronts will be on each car.

The deadline for letting me know and PAYING me $45 each for the Enduro is June 1st but I would like as many as possible to pay when I am there for the final Retro East race on May 7, 2016. You can of course PayPal the money to me as a friend to yerseyyoe@optonline.net

We are full and I have listed all the names below of those that have committed.

If you cannot make it we will go to the list of alternates.

As in the past, the teams will be selected at Retro Palooza.

Post your questions here.  The full rules will be the same as last year and will be published here soon.

Here is the list of confirmed attendees (but remember if you do not pay by the deadline you are not racing)

We will be having 8 - 5 man teams again.

And here are the teams

For those that are new to seeing this, the Enduro is by Invitation only to those that have raced in the series or the past few Enduros.

Crew Chiefs:

Start thinking of your team name and the colors of your body.  Let me know as soon as you can.

TonyP, are these the War Beaver parts we (at lease I know I) have been waiting for from Matt Sheldon as mentioned in the "Beaver Valley" post? Or are these roughly the same design made by Warmack? Sorry, still learning who's who.

How do I order? Any pricing info you can share? Or can you direct me to who I should chat with on getting some of these parts?

Many thanks TonyP!

Oops sorry guys... I just realized these parts are probably specifically for the Enduro. I saw the post pop on my phone and jumped on it.

My apologies.

Michael, not sure what's going on with Matt. I had these Beaver based parts hand made just in case for the enduro.

That's what I figured Tony. Hopefully Matt will resurface at some point. Good luck to all at the Enduro! If you find yourself with some left over parts you don't need just drop me a line. Thanks!

Mike, could you explain how much difference it would make , with Centered VS Hypoid on a retro car, as I am curious to know the logic. I really can not see it showing up on a watch, and the hypoid allows less weight up high....Just wanted to know your thoughts

Hi Alex

There really is not too much difference performance wise. You will find the axle gears take a hypoid look to the teeth after a race and really should not be interchanged from one to the other. Angled pinions work better on hypoid set ups and that is why I asked Tony since I will be a crew chief this year.

OK folks let's get the money in.

Also with Chubby and Matt dropping out, Ray Carlisi and Al Pollack are in.  Gary Clinton Jr. is now a Crew Chief and waiting to hear from Wes that he can do it.
