Hey all, Bob here,

I have only raced in 2 events this year. The 2016 checkpoint and the 2016 Zimmerman.

Retro Pro class only. My Pacman  has really effected my building cars. My driving suffers form the Temors.

I have looked at retirement, but My passion for Slots keeps me in the game.

My fellow " USRA" racers back at the start of organized Racing,

and who have raced in the Retro Pro class of today,I ask for your help and support.

RETRO PRO Racing will grow in SoCal.

CANAM AND F1 are doing great. The other classes are well represented.

The currant SCRRA board have kept Retro racing at BPR alive and well.

My hope is to get Retro Pro racers back  to the track.

In the 6 years of Retro I have raced, Retro Pro is where I enjoy racing the most.

My goal is  to be one of the many who help run Slot Car Racing.

A long with Jim, Craig, Sam  and the rest of the racers.

Every one who has entered a  Slot Car Race knows the rush you get when the  call to the start line is made and

I welcome any feed back.

See ya at the track

That's great Bob--I hope and pray  you can improve your health.  Retro Pro isn't going away --- I'll offer to help Craig to help  promote the class. We have a good core of racers that will race this class.   It's a fun class--the ONLY motor building class in Retro.

This race was a little down because of the Flat Track Nationals up in Washington scheduled the same week.

We just need to keep scheduling races and making sure the track is prepared to race!  We have 4 major races per year and Retro Pro is run at all of them.  The Summer Classic will see Retro Pro return to Friday night racing!  The flat track will have F-1 and Coupe during the day--Retro Pro will run at night. Looking forward to it!!

Race on flat track from time to time.

Friday  night racing good.

Maybe an off weekday race.

I am looking at history of races at BPR.

Lots of name racers.

Doug  Phil Mel Terri.Roger Keith Herman Dale Eddie  Jeff  Jeff  Jeff Paul S  Jim

All of these raced back 2008 thru 2011

Some still race. Joe winner of last checkpoint, was gone from racing.

Over 50 differant racers during this time fram

More Retro Pro past race highlights to come and speical events. Invitationals endure

traveling in series. Wow lots of fun happening at BPR

RP is the most exciting retro event. When I run in it, it is the most fun.

The issue is running the show, if someone is doing a good job running the show his racing is going to suffer and if someone wants to be competitive his attention to running the show is going to suffer.

The only one that seems to be able to do this is Bryan. But he is already doing too much on the big event races.
Thus the scrra board is not running the show for the RP event.

Someone who is interested in the RP event is going to have to run the show and let his racing be second priority.

If im going to run any retro class, it will be retro pro. I wouldve loved to raced this last weekend but previous obligations were first in line. Ive helped with teching when I can (the last few big races). As my brother and I are caretakers for my grandmother and I am going back to school in the summer, weeknights are going to be tougher for me to make. I will see everyone at the Western CLassic!

May also have another friend coming from NorCal to race as well.

Even though the SCRRA will not be directly involved in the running of the Retro Pro races we will still provide the participant plaques and the podium awards at the major races.  :)

Thanks Bryan, Your continued support will be needed. With the ReroPro racers running the races all the needs are being covered..

This class has seen some up and downs, With a little more help from all racers, This class will grow. BPR has room for a Retro Pro race.

I hope to meet with Craig and James to look at ways to keep us going.

Thanks Bob
