The first Outlaw Scale Series race of 2016 was great, we had a huge turnout, close competition, and tons of fun! The second race at Heart of Dixie Raceway in the famed Talladega, Alabama promises to be just as exciting. It features a fast paced 71' Tri-Oval and tight 145' Paper Clip that is definitely a driver's track. Their local racer's are very experienced there and will be tough to beat but I'm sure your up for the challenge! Lot's of pit space here too. I wouldn't be surprised to see 25 racer's here for this event, so if you missed the first race, don't miss this one!

Please Note:

The raceway excepts cash only.

It can also be tricky to find on some GPS devices, so leave a few minutes early just in case.

Schedule

Can-Am on the Paper Clip.
4" Flexi NASCAR on the Tri-Oval.
4'' Flexi GTP on the Paperclip.

Just an FYI...

I can't speak for Ralph on this point but I believe that JK has pulled back most of the "short shaft" Retro Hawks and is now shipping only original "long shaft" Retro Hawks in a soft bag type package.  There may be a few short shaft RH's out there, probably most with a "World Championship" security tape, but it shouldn't be many.  Still, it's Ralph's call.

I'd love to go to this race as I really enjoyed the previous one's Ralph has put on but (unfortunately?) I'm going to be down in Florida for the next few months.

I'd be wary of the short shaft ..that was used as a heat sink ..the cutoff shafts on the PSs at Whitehouse was a big failure I've blown some already.
there were 4 short shaft RHs sold there ,,they were all dogs.

Good luck to everyone racing today.

I'm sorry I couldn't make it. Unfortunately I had overlapping obligations this weekend, and family was priority this time.

Despite what I'm already hearing, OSS is not over with and I'm not trying to put Heart of Dixie Raceway out of business.

This is the first series race I've missed in over seven years, sorry if I've offended anyone.

If you finished on the podium in any class this past weekend please contact me so I can arrange delivery of your awards.

Thank you to everyone who participated, even the hater's.

I choose to attend the baseball game and cub scout graduation of my girlfriends 11 year old son instead. I have no regrets.

If you're unhappy with what I do, don't like the rules, or if you think I cheat then please feel free to stay home. I've been racing for the last 15 years, hosting National level events and running series for the last seven years and I've never seen so many people ungrateful of the time and effort it takes to do this.

The next race will be in Marietta, GA, at CMS. I'll try to have a date out at least a month in advance.

Thank you to those who support the series and our hobby.

I can't find a single "hater", "unhappy with RT", "don't like Outlaw SS rules", "RT is a cheater", or "ungrateful of your efforts" post on Slotblog.

If there is, please point me to it.
