What do these decals signify - the "P", "CM", "SP" ?
I see them on some European cars.
Thanks

Think it refers to the class the car races in
P - Prototype (LMP - LeMans Prototype
CN/CM - Production sports car
SP - Sports Prototype
I could be wrong tho.

Different racing sanctioning groups (SCCA, USRRC, etc) use different classes, especially in the '60's on. Production cars all carried a "P", and depending on their horsepower group, "A" to "H" high to low power; same with modified "M" or prototype racers that were not made for street use at any time. AP was a big block production compared to a CP small block v8 or a EP Triumph 4 cylinder. The LeMans races also used just the "P" or another unique designator as they did for the Homet turbine McKee.
Look up your history.
