The 2016 Four-Hour OCC Enduro will be held on June 25, 2016 at:

Haven Raceway and Hobby (the former home of the Slot Shop)
442 Cleveland Street
Elyria, OH 44035

(This is the raceway's new location after it moves Jun 15.)

The race is open to the 2015-16 participants on a first come, first entered basis.

Entry will be $50/team, practice will be $10/team and lunch will be $5 per person. Each team will be supplied with two JK Retro motors (randomly picked by a team member), and two sets of JK small hub Wonder rubber, (8702PPW, 3/32" x .790"). We’re going to use the .010" JK Vette C6, part number JK7126B. Interiors will be required. If you purchase your body in advance so it can be painted and mounted, we will refund your team the $6.50 cost. If you decide to purchase one of these bodies at the Haven Raceway, get in touch with them to place an order.

We will follow the 2015-16 OCC rules. A copy will be available at the raceway in case there are any questions.

The body and chassis entered cannot be replaced, you must run what you started the race with. The hand-out motors, or additional motors which can be purchased from Haven Raceway (and appropriately marked), are the only motors which can be used. These will be available beginning at 9 AM. Power supply, track or water break-ins will be allowed. The tires can be trued but the cars must maintain a clearance of .055" (tech tool) under the motor and spur gear at all times. Min. tires diameter is .750".

Teams can have either 2, 3, or 4 drivers. Each team must provide a marshall during the race. If you choose to run as a two-man team, one of the members must stay at the track to marshal unless someone can cover for your team. You may also follow the lead of the Northeast crew who brought in an individual specifically to cover some of their marshaling duties for the enduro at Mark's Model World. Attempt to equalize the driving times amongst all team members.

Tech will begin at 10:15 AM and close at 10:50, racing starts at 11 AM. We will run 15 minutes per lane and after the first eight lanes have been run, we’ll break for an hour for lunch. Maintenance, (tire changes, motor replacement, chassis straightening, body repairs), can be made during the lunch break. The final two hours will then be run.

For those interested in Friday’s practice, they will be open 8 AM to midnight. The doors will open on Saturday at 7 AM.

Team 1 - Kevin Cosgrove, Tom ‘TR’ Rowell, and Jim ‘JT’ Torre
Team 2 - David Decoster, Bob Foster, and Jay Sabala
Team 3 - Rob Voska, Frankie Schaffier,  and Greg Krumnow
Team 4 - Jeff Henes, Justin Porter, and Sean Sutorius
Team 5 - Joe 'Hollywood' Gerencser, Willie Custer, and Eric Shirey
Team 6 - Bud Bartos, Gil Pataky, and Steve Koepp
Team 7 - Jeremy Halfhill, Dan Halfhill, and John Halfhill
Team 8 - Ben Naelitz, Ron Vincek, and Alex Stoudinger

If you are interested in participating, either respond on Slotblog or Facebook. This will be a first come, first serve with priority going to those racers who ran the regular OCC series during the 2015-16 season. If all eight positions are not filled by June 11, we will open the entry up to whomever would like to race with us.

Willie Custer and Eric Shiree will be the first non-OCC team to be entered if all eight team positions are not filled by 2015-16 OCC entrants.

Okay Amigos,

Looks  likes SIX confirmed teams are in the OCC enduro, so far.

Team Chuck Kron, and Team Joe 'Hollywood' Gerencser.

We will need your complete team on or before June 11,2016.

So this will be fair for those who did not race in the series but would like to form a team for this event.

You are on the clock and time is ticking!

Hola Racers,

Just got the JK Corvette C6 (Part# JK7126B) body in for paint. After reviewing the body, There might be a question on the back window. Well after reviewing the issue.

Here are some solutions.

1) If the rear window is kept clear you MUST have an interior that would cover the Retro Hawk motor. Example stock car interior.

2) Or you can "tint" the window where you could not see the Retro Hawk motor.

3) Window "tint" must be a DIFFERENT color of the main color of the car.

4) Good "tint" colors would be Black, Silver, Gold or Yellow are some good examples.

Any questions please post them here or on Face Book.

Thank you

Hola Racers,

Finally got around and painted some OCC Corvette Enduro bodies for Team DeCoster.

Just wondering if anyone else has painted their Enduro body yet?

Jay,

The bodies look great. Even an old geezer like me should be able to see them. Give me a call.

Hi Joe,

The Corvette bodies can be order by Haven Raceway. Or if you need them really bad you can order through JK Products But you have to pay SHIPPING.

How are you trimming the body?  Front and sides have a cut line but the rear is vague with no rear bumper?  Is there a min front and rear vertical rule or?

Front bumper 1mm (.039"), rear bumper 1/8" below the wing.

FYI:
Overflow parking for the race is across the street in the CVS parking lot.
