Bernie, Noose,

Have you set the practice/race schedule yet? I want to start booking the other activities. Not knowing what impact cruise ships might have on availability, even in the off season, I want to be pro-active.

Thanks for all you're doing.

Diana,

Keep in mind "Island Time." Reggie will open approximately at noon every day. This will be a very relaxed schedule. We don't have a huge number of entries so I would suspect we will start tech, qualifying, and racing late afternoon, early evening. There will be plenty of time for testing that way. It is cooler in the late afternoon/early evening so that generally works best. This way you can sleep in if you choose or take in some activities. Sunday is RetroPro and I suspect not everyone will race that class so we should be done early. There will probably be a BBQ on Saturday night as well. Depending on when people come in I would schedule activities for the days before and after the event, especially if they are all day affairs.

The beach right outside the raceway is very nice and there are plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance. Two casinos very close by as well as much shopping you could possibly want!

I will contact Reggie and Noose to nail down a somewhat "official" schedule. :sun_bespectacled:

Sounds good, Bernie. I'll do a little testing but I'm going for the ambiance and the activities to tell you the truth. The slot car racing is an excuse LOL.

Just my $.02 but I would like to see the Retro Pro class run as early as possible on Sunday.  That way we can pack up our slot car stuff and get on with our "other" vacation as soon as possible.

We can certainly look at that Jay. Nothing is set in stone. We can see what everyone wants to do on Friday & Saturday and take it from there. Everything is possible in St Maarten :sun_bespectacled:

Well the time has come! The event officially starts this Friday. I will be posting as much as I can on Facebook just because it is much easier from the phone. Greg Wells will be pulling those  posts and from FB and posting here. We have lots of great prizes, the weather is great, and there is lots of cold beer on ice at the raceway! Thanks again to all that helped make this event possible and all the great sponsors! :good: :sun_bespectacled: I'm off to St Maarten Wednesday morning!
