You really do want to start a debate. The top five;
1954 Ferrari 375 Plus
1955 Jaguar D Type
1960 Ferrari 250 TRS
1965 Ferrari 250 LM
1966 Ford GT40
That's not to say I don't like the pre-war cars. It's just that my favorite pre-war car did not win LeMans.

No debate from me.
Those are pretty much my top 5.
I'll add while there are some cool liveries, I don't think much of anything after 1970.

I will just say that the current Porsche's and Audi's sure are Fugly!
...and with their paint jobs you cant tell which is which!
YMMV

1967 Ford GT40
1963 Ferrari 250 P
1966 Ford GT40
1965 Ferrari 250 LM
1970 Porsche 917K
Tough decisions, I could have easily put in somewhere, the '59 Aston Martin, or the '55 Jaguar D Type.
As computers and aero become more common place in the later years, designs between manufacturers blur and they all look a bit like they came out of the same jelly mould.

Again, I agree.
What's funny is the 1970 917 is good looking, but, IMO, the 71 is ugly.

Right. There is little relationship of beauty of form to aerodynamics. We used to think if it
looked slick, it was slick. But now we have laminar flow and boundary layer dynamics screwing
the aethetics all up.
