Two 1/24 Scale Eight-Lane Tracks

Formerly at Opie's Raceway in Tequesta, FL. Tracks seem to have been stored properly and come fully equipped and with inventory, rentals cars, etc.

Sounds like a deal for two tracks. The footprints of them (again) will be the determining issue.

The tracks look in good shape and seem to be stored well.

An interesting quote in the eBay listing: "This business with slot car tracks was & will be successful when dedicated to 'Children & Families'."

Another enlightened raceway owner who knows that the business should not be primarily oriented toward racing.

It was probably built in the year 2000. EVERYTHING was "Millennium" back then.

That looks like it was a nice raceway. Closed by the time I moved to FL.

Interesting that the deadman on the King looks flat, but the finger and donut look pretty well dished...

I ran on those track back when I lived in Florida. The road course was a very fun tack to run on. The King was different I would say... The deadman was tricky but the rest of the track was very fast for a Ogilvie.

The amount of banking was determined by the buyer. We cranked up the banking if that is what was requested. Someone asked about the footprint of these tracks. If there was more of an overhead view I could give a rough guess. But generally if you have a king where the deadman is pinched a couple of lanes on to the main straight, it will be around 18' wide. If you see a wide opening between the finger bank and the back straight, that is more like the original king footprint and will usually be 21' wide. If you see a king with a small pinch and the finger bank very close to the back straight and a deadman of 180 degrees or more, that is what I nicknamed a laid back king and it came out to19' wide. Most of the full size kings we built were around 48' long, with an original style king about 50' long.
