Anybody ever tried changing the colors of waterslide decals by spraying them with acrylics?
If so, what were your results?
The reason I ask is, I need more red colored numbers like these
The only place I have found them is from the UK HERE.
What would happen if I sprayed some light coats of red acrylic on some white numbers?

Should work if you seal them with clear (like Krylon) afterwards.
If course most decals are slightly larger than the colored portion, so they will come out a bit larger with rounded corners.
You can't always get what you want...

Pablo, you can get racing numbers in many different fonts/styles and colors from Patto's, here in Sydney.
They also come as water slide decals, or peel/stick, and Bruce can print them reverse for applying to the inside of clear bodies.
Have a look at this page and scroll down past 3/4 the way, down to the Number Sheets. There are quite a few.
Bruce is a good guy, his decals are pretty good, and with the Aussie $ down against the US$ (1 US$ = about AU$1.35), prices are good.

Thanks, James and Steve.
Yes, I know Patto's has lots of good stuff. I've ordered there before and always been happy.

Just learn to paint backwards on the inside of the body... forget "perfection", no-one ever gets there.

Thanks, Jens.
I may not have to mess with paint after all. I love the German font numbers at Patto's since this is for a Mercedes-Benz.
