Highlights
- Jack finished first in GT1 with 91.5 laps running clean from start to finish with a great consistency of 97.16%. Rich was second only three sections behind also running a clean race. Bobs Enzo was third about a half lap behind Rich
- Bob won the Can-Am race with his tried and true Lotus with 92.2 laps. Jack was second with 90.8 and James was third with 90.2.
Any of the top four competitors could have won the True Scale GT1 race. The top four ran fast laps right at the five second range. Going into the final heat James had completed his rotation with a total of 89.6 laps (average of 22.4 laps/heat) and was forced to sit and watch to see if he could hold on to a podium finish. Jack, Rich and Bob all had a good chance to knock James off of the podium. Jack only needed 21+ laps to beat James while Rich and Bob needed 22+ laps to beat James. All three had averaged over 22 laps/heat. In the end, all three bested James.
Interestingly enough the slowest of the four, Jack, won the race finishing with 91.5 laps by running clean and being the most consistent (97.16%). Rich also ran a clean race but was just not as consistent as Jack. Rich managed to end up only three sections behind Jack for second place. Bob finished third about a half lap down from Rich. Below are details of the finishing order and images of the grid.
Can-Am
The Can-Am race was really a race between Bob, Jack and James. All three competitors turned fast laps right at the five second mark. Bob won the race by being the most consistent of the three finishing with 92.2 laps. Jack and James battled it out for the remaining positions on the podium. In the end Jack was second finishing with 90.8 laps with James nearly a lap behind.
Rich and Ron decided to run their Daytona Prototypes instead of their normal Can-Am rides. The DPs are at a disadvantage to the Can-Am cars because they are heavier and have a higher center of gravity. Both cars looked great but Richs ran a bit better than Rons. Still a fun race for both competitors.
