     The opening race of the 2016 SCRRA Summer Western Classic at Buena Park Raceway was Retro Anglewinder Coupe on BPR's tricky Flat track. 17 racers began the day.........

Coupe Qualifying        Tim Neja on top with a TQ of 4.43. Things SUPER close for the A Main cutoff with .1 of a second separating 2nd Place Jason Holmes and 10th place Eddie Shorer!

B Main results           Eddie Shorer just nipping Marc Franco for the win and a close battle for 3rd between TJ Albu and Joe Chevy with TJ just edging Joe!

A Main results            Another very close Flat track race with Bryan Warmack just holding off Tim Neja when the flag dropped!  Original Team Checkpoint member and the very first Western States Champion in 1968, Charlie Nelson was an excellent 3rd!  Great race Tim and Charlie!!

Real nice ride for Fast Eddie kicking it with an inline.  Way to go :good:

Charlie Nelson making the long journey.  Great run !
