The Wellington Slot Car Club is today hosting the 2016 New Zealand RTR 12 Hour Enduro on its 53.5 metre (175.5 foot) 6-lane track.
5 teams comprising racers from all over New Zealand are competing.

Beautiful track. What kind of lap times were the Slot.its turning? Looks like a long way around for them, if they were running stock motors and gearing.

Beautiful track. What kind of lap times were the Slot.its turning? Looks like a long way around for them, if they were running stock motors and gearing.

Typically between 11.0 and 12.0 seconds. Fastest lap was about 10.6s. Stock motors and gears. Winning team ran same motor and gears for 12 hours, others had various failures and replacements.
