The tenth anniversary of the R4 will be held March 17-19, 2017.

Starting at this event the Can-Am and F1 classes will be split into Regular and Senior divisions. If you are 60 years old or older or turn 60 during the event you can opt to run the Senior division. You don't have to run in the Senior division. You can still choose to run in the Regular division. But you can't run both. Senior division will run the same format as the GTC, "one and done."

More details later.

Will qualifying remain for the respective classes - Senior and Regular?

Mike, could you make that "66" or older? I'm getting tired of racing against these kids with their 60-year old reflexes   :D

And I remember when there was a "Kids"class because "Age and Treachery" was still a superior position. :)

Some of the best racers are in the senior division. I would stand a better chance if I could race in the toddler division. ;-)

Should be called the "Geezer" division!! :)

I can relate – I'll be 65 by then!! :)

It would eliminate from having to race "Duran" out here at BPR!! :)

She's real fine, my 409!!!

Won't running two divisions make the racing day longer?

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

No, it shouldn't. Using the last two years of data it could actually make it slightly shorter. At most only one Main longer.

I assume we will tech them all at once and just separate them then. Should be interesting to see who makes a "false ID" to get into the Seniors. LMAO.

I think it's a great idea.

More smiling faces getting plaques.

I know it's not mandatory, but if I make the race, being on the GTC Pro list, I would just run in the regular races.

Can one decide to run in the Senior division in say F1 but regular Division in Can-Am?

For the IRRA Board - Does a podium finish in the Senior division promote someone to the GTC-PRO List?

Good question from Bob.

I'll pose another one.

If the reaction the Senior winner gets lasts for more than six hours, should he consult a physician?

Rumor has it that Retro East is setting up a track at The Burning Man Festival next year.
